ok no problem?
There is a possibility of being sold out at 6:00 pm We think that there is all kinds of going to about 3:00 pm We do not know whether we can make reservation.
There should be reservation limitation. It seems that Totoro cream is on the cake.
It is not necessary
We can't make it.
There is no rum or alcohol in any of the cakes as far as I know
Don't think so
what day of the week? If you want to go weekday lunch, reservation is not necessarily !
Lovely atmosphere and delicious coffee. The puff itself wasn't great (late in the day though), but the custard cream was delightful.
Travelled more than an hour on trains to get to Shirohige’s Cream Puffs! The owner is apparently the sister-in-law of the founder of Studio Ghibli and he gave her the rights to use #Totoro :) It is a small and quaint cafe that you can eat there and enjoy a meal and desserts. There are seasonal flavors and today we took all 4 flavors which are identified from the different accessories on the top right ear - from left to right, chocolate, chestnut, custard, raspberry & cream cheese. The pastry is thin and the inside cream is full of flavour! Every mouth is so enthralling Price range from 420 - 460 ¥ each! Which is about > $5 SGD each. Really worth the trip 🤩🤩🤩
Cute cafe hidden in a neighbourhood! Definitely worth the visit, their cream puff is a must try and must take PICTURES 😳
Custard Cream puff was beautiful and delicious. Bought some cookies too. Only downside is that if you want to eat upstairs in the cafe you need to make a reservation otherwise it was a 30 minute wait on a monday morning around 11am. So we had to walk a couple minutes away to find somewhere to sit and eat.
I'm obsessed in everything related to Totoro. So I already put on my list to visit this cream puffs bakery. They have a cafe upstairs and it has a minimum spending fee, but if you really want to enjoy the cream puffs with good drinks, I suggest you can try the cafe. The puff creams are tasty, they're crunchy on the outside and very moist filled with cream on the inside. We went on a weekday afternoon, basically they still have all flavors that time and of course my favorite is the chocolate one.The location of this place may quite far from the central Tokyo, but I love the residential atmosphere. Quiet and homey. And it is really close to Shimokitazawa area, which is my favorite spot in Tokyo. The lady in the store on the first floor was really friendly and nice. Other than cream puffs, they also sell some totoro-shaped cookies for a souvenir, they also offer to wrap it if you want it as a gift.
To be really honest - the food was average :( But it’s a nice place to visit - very cute little Cafe.
So so cute! Quaint little cafe paying homage to the great Studio Ghibli. Try all the flavours of the cream puff - Egg Custard, Chestnut, Chocolate and strawberry! We didn't try the pasta but it smelt delightful! Definitely need to try it out next time.
Amazing! Delicious creme puffs and amazing menu selection. Perfect for all ages and Ghibli fans are not. If you’re in the area you definitely need to pop in at this charming little cafe.
Very cute totoro cake with various types of cream inside (almond, raspberry,...). The location is also in a quite place. Highly recommend for those who wanna take a coffee rest with friends or even alone.
A nice place and not far from the station. I went alone but ordered 2 puffs cause I cannot decided lol. If you dine-in you have to order a drinks unavoidable.
Unique little place away from a lot of stuff. Known for its totoro cream puff pastry which is really very nice but make sure you see the list of all flavours when you get there as they may not all be on display. Cafe upstairs always seems to have about a 1 hour wait time so didn't get a chance to try it
If you enjoy cute cafes with cute (and enjoyable) food. This is the place. It requires everyone to have minimum a meal and a drink. The most popular is the totoro puff cake but you can have other bakery stuff here too.
An excellent place for chill out, nice food and pastries. Service wise not the best around but can make do. As they are always having good business, they seem to be lacking in tables availability and smiling more.
The cream puffs were good, the filling was tasty and the pastry was nicely baked and crisp. They sell out during the afternoon so I would recommend arriving in the morning, and possibly booking a table. They serve drinks in disposable containers even if you stay in the cafe which is not great for the environment
Such a cute place for all Ghibli fans. Visited twice during the trip. A little bit of a wait for a table but its worth it! First time sat on the balcony upstairs as the weather was beautiful and second time we sat outside downstairs. Staff were very kind and the creme puffs were to die for. The special in November was Chestnut. They were so good my friend and I came back 2 days later on our last day!
Server was really nice. Coincidentally we both went to the same College in Cal State University of Long Beach. Small world! We got one cream puff to go and he also explained how the freeze pack will last only an hour and it might go bad.
It was overall nice place to visit. Only downside is it's rather far from main city tokyo. But very good for y'all instagram folks out there.
It's small but warm and cozy. It's also kond of far from shimokitazawa sta. But worth it! I came here for the cream puff and it's really good :)
For Totoro Custard Cream, soft thick with lively mild custard inside. For Beef Tender Pasta served with 2 bread, lovely with nice smell of cheeze, overall is nice. For Iced Tea with lemon, i think the lemon is just a prop and not really get the role on the taste. The location are nice with Totoro food theme and Europe like style.
Adorable cafe and bakery. There’s some outside seating for the cafe and a restaurant upstairs that has amazing pasta. Very cozy.
A bit hidden in a residential area, but it's a nice little bakery to have a cup of coffee. The cakes do not resemble Totoro that much (bit generic in shape), but it's a nice cake nonetheless. If you are in the area, it is a nice quiet place to sit and relax.
Absolutely adorable and delicious cream puffs!I was sceptical about this place thinking it would be style over substance however could not be more mistaken. The puffs are delicious. Favourite one is vanilla by a mile. If I'm ever back in Tokyo I would definitely make a trip out to this place again.
Nice experience! I like the fact that the place is hidden but there is no special decoration, a bit disappointed. Totoro pastries where good but did not have a « fresh » taste that’s why 4 stars. the shape is really unique and original but that’s it.
A small paradise for Ghibli fans. Delicious buns! 😠ðŸ˜
The cream puffs were amazing! They were about ¥500 each, so a bit much, but it is an experience and it is Totoro, so worth it. To stay in the cafe upstairs (to eat there) you have to order a drink per person (also about ¥500) so keep that in mind. The shell was amazing, it had the nice crispy texture that shows true mastery of a cream puff, and the cream (we got peach and custard) had a nice fatty richness to it. It was definitely an experience that I enjoyed. Definitely go there!
We arrived around 10:30am, the shop was nice and quiet. Some reviews say the pastries aren’t worth the trip and taste mediocre.. I have to disagree! This shop is so cute and the pastries were so yummy!
A very nice and tidy place for you to relax and just enjoy a good sip of coffee and of course... cream puff! 😊
The homemade pasta is great, as is the setting - outside space amid a bit of greenery is a rarity, and it's peaceful - but it is incredibly disappointing when cafes/restaurants insist on serving drinks in single use plastic/paper cups, with plastic straws, even when they are eating in. They also served some customers their desserts on paper plates. The cream puffs look good but taste wise aren't especially standout.
They are as delicious as they are pretty. Only 420yen. Don’t be afraid to eat them despite their cute looks. In February the tastes were: chocolate, banana+caramel, strawberry and custard.
A little of the way, but as a Ghibli fan well worth the journey. Delicious cream puffs, so cute!
Really nice little shop with good pastry. I love Tororo 💜 The taste was amazing
love these adorable cream puffs! not only cute but also delicious! well worth the price. only downside is that it’s a very small place with limited seating and it’s not baby friendly (no space for stroller and no changing table available). still a good snack or dessert if you’re in the area.
We had a nice afternoon coffee here on a rainy Monday in June. We sat upstairs in the cafe and had a regular cream puff, a chocolate cream puff, and a coffee each (you have to order at least one food item and one drink to sit upstairs). The coffee was lovely and the cream puffs were as a delicious as they are cute! This is a wonderful stop to pair with a day wandering through the Shimokitazawa thrift stores, though probably not worth just making a special trip for.
We didn’t order cream puffs ahead of time but I called prior to our visit and they kindly told me that there were still plenty of cream puffs left. (This was around lunch time!) Some of the staff are very friendly but only speak a little English so be patient with them; they are trying their best :)
So cute! Worth a visit if you’re in the Shimokitazawa area. The cream puffs themselves are light and tasty (not too heavy at all), you can order it to eat in at the café upstairs. They also sell a ton of other cute little cookies and things! Feels like a magical hidden little bake shop in the neighborhood ✨
Wandered through some lovely streets to get here. The desserts were kawaii and delicious. The take away box even had a little cold section, so your puffs would survive the day.
We made a special trip out to Shirohige's Cream Puff shop, which is about 25 minutes from Shibuya Station by train. This is a small bakery built out of a home, with the option to takeout or eat upstairs in their cafe (1 drink order per person required). The cream puff pastry was light and flaky, and the filling was creamy, flavourful and rich. I tried the white peach and the original custard, and while both were delicious, the custard was the winner for me. Its about 480-600 yen per cream puff and 100% worth it!
Visit Shiro-Hige's Cream Puff Factory if you want to meet Totoro. You can enter the shop to buy take-out for the cream puff and other merchandise like cookies. There are many designs from Totoro inside the shop. We tried the custard and strawberry flavors and they were really good. The packaging is nice too. The staff are very welcoming.
Totoro fans would definitely come here, but it was rather small with not much contents, just lightly decorated with some totoro stuff, would not revisit, giving 4 stars for the efforts
Very cozy! Good coffee and cute Totoro pastries with tasty filling.
If you are to Totoro a must to come. My son was so thrilled to be here and try all the different cream puffs! Make sure you book and reserve the flavors you like!
Adorable and delightful tasting Totoro cream puffs is the main attraction. Seasonal flavours are on offer too. They also have other tasty bakery goods. Good coffee and matcha is served too. Seating is limited. Nice ambience. Cafe is tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood.
The cream puffs are fantastic, cute and super tasty. Don't bother with the cafe, that's a different owner with a different menu, they tolerate the puffs but that's it. Buy your precious Totoros and run to a safe place to enjoy them at the fullest. They're worth it.
Popped into the shop to purchase two cream puffs for 900 yen. Worth the short walk if you are a fan of Totoro.
Hidden gem. Personally likes the Chocolate cream puff. If you wants to dine in, unless you have a reservation, then you have to wait if full house.
The cream puffs are well-made, with soft cream inside in a well-proportioned amount. The cafe upstairs has a sitting fee, so I generally recommend most to get their pastries downstairs. They also provide ice packs to keep them cool. Make sure to come early enough in the day to avoid the cream puffs being sold out. I usually go on weekend morning/afternoons, and have never found it busy.
You are a fan of Totoro? You need Instagram photos? I think this is the right place then for you. It is a little hidden far from the crowded area, but those cream puffs are kinda special. They are of course and delicious. The tase is, however, nothing special. We also had some other "real food". I wouldn't go there regularly but once in a while its a cute getaway.
The cream puffs are worth the trip here. Absolutely delicious. Definitely not just hype.
